According to WHO, distracted driving is among the top 10 causes for accidents. In the 5G connected world, we are seeing enormous opportunities to improve safety of drivers and passengers. With the advancements in connected-car platforms, edge computing, machine intelligence and 5G connectivity, we can identify anomalies in drivers alertness due to various factors like sleep-deprived, alcohol-induced, stress, fatigue and so on. Such capability can radically improve the safety of drives. It can also take into account the privacy aspects of drivers and emergency response protocols.
All products are perishable at some point. We want to quantify to what extent they are perishable or otherwise - recyclable. There is a ton of valuable research that went into determining various facets of a product's lifecycle. A product can be a plastic cover or a bolt. We are looking for ways to account for recyclability of the product taking into consideration the entire product journey / transitions from raw material to disposal (also referred to as cradle-to-grave or birth-to-death). It is a multi-disciplinary problem that is unique to every product / category. Standards are still evolving for some materials.
